MacOS Catalina: do not upgrade, yet

The new MacOS Catalina (10.15) is here, and it is a big one.

The iTunes app gets split apart into separate Music, TV, and Podcast apps, and iPhone syncing is now integrated into the Finder! That alone is a shock, and will take a while to get used to.

Also, the age of 32bit apps are over. That means all your old software, if it was never updated by the developers (or by you), will stop working. Period. Apple has been warning developers about this for ten years, so it is no surprise. For those of you who have been keeping that old copy of Adobe Photoshop CS3 or Microsoft Wood 2004 limping along, this is your wakeup call. Either upgrade those apps, buy an alternative app that does similar things, or simply stop upgrading MacOS at Mojave (10.14). Let that sink in for a while.

There are a few other bugs popping up, like disappearing email and iCloud login issues, but those will be fixed in future OS updates.

So hold your horses! Wait a little while before installing this big upgrade. Probably after the third update. Just my opinion.
